Do I need a high or low safety shoe?
A high safety shoe offers extra protection for your ankles and is generally warmer for your feet. A boot is even higher. Low model safety shoes can offer more freedom of motion. Loafers are easy to slip in and out. Sandels are ventilated shoes, which are ideal for certain job situations.

What is ESD?
ESD stands for ‘ElectroStatic Discharge’, and ESD-protected shoes prevent or at least limit electrostatic discharge and contribute to diverting any charge that may be generated in a controlled manner. Under certain conditions, anti-static shoes have an electrical resistance of 0.1-35M Ohm. Under the same conditions, ESD shoes have a much lower resistance. Friction can generate static electricity, and this can lead to uncomfortable or even dangerous static discharge. Electronic components are becoming increasingly more sensitive to static discharge. ESD shoes and socks from Bata can contribute to making this type of situation more manageable.
Why do I need a steel toecap?
A steel toecap protects your toes from heavy falling or rolling objects. Having a steel toecap protects the otherwise vulnerable toes. In a lot of work situations wearing safety footwear reduces a lot of accidents and the severity of accidents.
Why do I need an anti-perforation mid-sole?
A steel mid-sole in the shoe provides protection from perforation or the penetration of sharp or hot objects through the outsole.
